About Me

My name is David Murray. I’m a full time wedding photographer and put simply; I love it.

My passion for my craft is evident. You will note my photography is different; it’s intimate without intrusion, emotional, intuitive and will hit you in the heart. I believe pictures are an art, a precious moment in time that can never be recaptured.

A million miles away from the mainstream wedding photographer in approach and end result, I’m hired by discerning clients who want the very best in wedding photography; by those who want beautiful, powerful and timeless images that tell a complete story of their special day. A collection that will be treasured for generations.

In a former life and a former career I received three bravery awards including ‘The Queen’s Medal for Brave Conduct’, an award that only 23 people have in the last 100 years. However, it wasn’t my dream job and consequently I left to pursue my lifelong ambition of being a photographer. I risked it all, love every day, and here I am, around 350 weddings later!

In the last few years I’ve been listed in the ‘Top 10 UK Wedding Photographers’ and Professional Photographer magazine placed me in the ‘Top 10 UK Winter Wedding Photographers’.

These accolades, along with some amazing feedback from my clients make me really proud. My favourite reference to my work is from a Master Photographer in Australia, who wrote: “David, your work has an intimate touch that is absolutely glorious. Thank you for the glimpse of true genius.”

I’ve photographed weddings of all kinds, from small and intimate to large events for many wonderful couples; for professional footballers, leaders in their field and even rubbed shoulders with royalty, so I must be doing something right.

I know with certainty that I put my heart and soul into every wedding I photograph.
