Outdoor ceremonies are fantastic, I’ve photographed three in the last year, but only if the dreaded rain holds off and of course in this country whenever a wedding takes place nobody can predict the weather. So Faye and Curt were brave, even though it was the end of the summer yes it rained the day before and on the morning of the wedding it was touch and go whether the outdoor ceremony would go ahead. Then it rained again and it was decided everything was to be moved inside. Then although it was really windy suddenly it stopped raining and negotiations took place, yes it was to be outside! The whole day took place at Faye’s parents house, wow! how magnificent it was a dream venue for any wedding and all the more special because your daughter was getting married. Kurt is South African and was a professional surfer, I don’t shoot the wedding of many of those… wait this is my first! He even had a good hair cut before the day, I guess it must be love. It was a pleasure to photograph this outdoor wedding and if you’re wondering around an hour after the ceremony it rained again!
I hope you enjoy looking at this small selection of Faye and Kurt’s wedding photographs.
Faye wrote these words to me:
“We have just returned home from a wonderful honeymoon and it continues because we could see our photos. Wow wow wow David! they are just amazing and even better than we expected, we love every single one of them and shall cherish them all, oh thank you for staying to photograph our first dance I am so glad you did. Thank you so much!!”
