Criccieth is a beautiful place, especially in August when the sun is high and the sea warm and calm. The views of the town are dominated by the castle, sitting as it does so high and majestic atop a rocky promontory which juts dramatically out into Tremadog Bay. This was my first visit here for maybe 40 years when my dad brought my brother and I here as a child. Before embarking on the wedding and early in the morning I sat on a bench overlooking the bay dreaming of times gone by, memories are so vivid and so real.
Sian got ready at her parents beautiful home overlooking the sea, it was a warm house full of wonderful caring people, mother father and siblings. Then everyone moved onto the quaint Bethel Chapel, certainly the smallest church I have ever photographed in. The whole service was conducted in Welsh, it was quite an experience. Sian and Osh then celebrated their wedding at the stunning Bron Eifion country house, a luxury 4 star hotel and a Grade II Listed building which overlooks beautiful gardens with breathtaking views of the sea. And although everyone spoke their native Welsh Language for the whole day, including the speeches, I never once felt like an outsider, everyone was incredibly warm and friendly and enjoyed every moment of Sian and Osh’s wedding day.
Sian is a primary school teacher, her children from the school were waiting for her outside as she left the church! She is a beautiful woman as well as being a kind caring human being inside, this helps radiate here beauty even more, I hope this shows in the photographs.
I wish Sian and Osh a wonderful long and happy marriage, it was an absolute pleasure to document their wedding day.
I received this from Sian on seeing her photographs:
“Thank you so very much for our beautiful wedding photos, they are stunning!!! You’ve captured the whole day brilliantly and the photos brought us tears, we enjoyed re-living every minute of the whole day again. We will treasure them all. Thank you David, you are amazing!”
