Quite a drive for me to the Jurassic coast, but boy was it worth it. Niki, herself an event organiser, and her groom Rob hired me for to shoot for 11hrs as their day was to end with a quite magnificent firework extravaganza. I was pleased to see my good friend Phil White, who had travelled even further than me, was the videographer for the day, it’s always a pleasure to work with Phil. Niki’s day started off with her getting ready at a country house they’d hired for the morning, all her bridesmaids were there along with her doting mum. When I arrived at the castle the sun was blazing, even though it was still really a late spring day, the site of Lulworth Castle was impressive and the drive up to it kind of took my breath away. The interior was magnificent, the ceremony room a dream for a photographer and the history surrounding me was inspiring. Rob was nervous, yet at the same time he was calm and collected and all the guests were excitedly waiting for the arrival of Niki, as you can see, a stunning bride. The day went splendidly, the ceremony emotional, as you can see by Rob’s reaction on seeing Niki and the garden party sublime, mainly due to the great views and the perfect weather. I loved the speeches too, Niki had many people to thank and Rob made everyone laugh. The dancing in the evening was wonderful and the day was perfectly completed with some amazing fireworks.
I really hope you enjoy looking the photographs I created for Niki and Rob, it was an absolute pleasure to be a part of their day, and Lulworth was a perfect venue in every way.
Niki and Rob wrote to me:
“Thank you so much David! We went through the slideshow last night and loved it, every single photo, just amazing, thank you!!”
