I shoot weddings all over the UK and this year I’ve been as far as Dorset, London and North Yorks. This wedding was centred around my home town, with the sailing club only 10 miles away I was home for Match of the Day! A rarity these days. Michelle got ready for her special day at a wonderful cottage just outside Congleton toward the peak district, she then headed to St Mary’s church at Astbury. Here I was informed in no uncertain terms that the Vicar does not allow any photography and that past photographers have driven him up the wall. I cajoled him and eventually he allowed me to do my job in the church, I found him at the end of the service and thanked him and at the same time he thanked me for restoring his faith in wedding photographers. I got some lovely ceremony pictures although I was in a situation where my view was incredibly restricted. Michelle and Richard then moved their day to the wonderful Rudyard Sailing club at Rudyard Lake on the Cheshire, Staffordshire border. The views were beautiful and the sailing club nestled on the shore below the trees did a magnificent job of hosting this lovely couple’s wedding. We had a great singer too, guests went on boat trips and luckily the rain stayed away after earlier threatening. I loved every moment of this wedding and I hope you enjoy the photographs I captured for Michelle and Richard.
These words from Michelle and Richard were sent to me on seeing their pictures:
“Hi David, thank you for all your hard work on the day, you were amazing and thank you for the pictures we really love them, they’re just fantastic!!
