Ruth and Marc live near London, yet the Lake District is their favourite place in the world. They spent their first holiday here and Marc proposed to Ruth overlooking Lake Ullswater. So where would you celebrate the best day of your life? Of course, the beautiful and unrivalled landscape of the English Lake District. After marrying at the church in Patterdale, along with a ceremonial tunnel of Leeks (Marc is Welsh) Ruth, Marc and their 100 guests celebrated at the Inn on The Lake, the hotel enjoys one of the most spectacular settings in the Lake District in 15 acres of grounds with lawns sweeping to the shores of Lake Ullswater. The weather was a challenge, we had sun, rain, mist, more sun then a downpour. After the speeches, luckily when it was dry, Ruth and Marc treated their guests to a trip on the lake in one of the traditional steamers along with champagne and music. Back at the hotel the guys danced the night away. This was a wonderful and unique wedding in a stunning setting.
I received this from Ruth and Marc:
“The photos are fantastic and we have now had a chance to share them with our parents and families who are equally impressed! We really feel like you have captured our day in the way that we wanted you to and given us so much more than we could ever have expected. We barely noticed you on the day and we have no idea how you managed to get some of these photos without us spotting you! Brilliant David, thank you so much!”
